about

Psilosight is Australia’s first medicinal psiloc Psilosight is Australia’s first medicinal psilocybin company. They exist in an interesting place at the current time as the demand for psilocybin research and treatment is growing exponentially while the progress towards legalisation seems to be so slow that one might perceive it as barely moving at all.

While the understanding of these substances and their vast history of use by humans is developing in leaps and bounds, the progress towards making them available to those in need is clearly being blocked. The benefit and potency of this fascinating fungus is almost unbelievable at times, with as little as a single guided session being enough to cure lifelong addiction, PTSD, and depression.

Psilosight saw a need and decided to move early. While currently deemed illegal, that means little to those who can see the results and seek the innumerable benefits of psilocybin treatments. With growing numbers of people now venturing into the black market, it’s critical that they are provided a safe and trustworthy way to treat themselves. Psilosight is aware of what they are doing and after working behind closed doors for many years I was approached to begin the initial phases of their public identity.

Working with a brand that exists in an, as of yet, non-existent market was an interesting challenge. How can you position the brand when there isn’t a reference point? How do you stand out from competition when you’re the only horse in the race? My solution was to create a concept that will grow and evolve over time as the (very) slow march towards legalisation and public acceptance takes place.

Psilosight is poised as the parent company and will slowly roll out a family of sub-brands and products under that umbrella.

For those who know where to find these kinds of things, ask for Psilosight, for everyone else, keep holding your breath for legalisation.

The chosen concept for the rebranding of Melbourne The chosen concept for the rebranding of Melbourne Women’s Fund.

Sometimes a bit of familiarity is all you need. This concept is my take on the old MWF logo that has been in use since 2014. I sought to keep the basic essence of the old workhorse but with a little tidy up here and a streamlining there I kicked it firmly into 2020.

The last pic is the old logo.

This one leaned into the giving circle element a bit more obviously. Too obviously? None can say for sure.
